Committed to the Gospel of Jesus Christ
EKPC Toronto exists to bring glory to God by making disciples through gospel-centered worship, community, service and growth. The gospel is the story of God reconciling and redeeming a broken creation and fallen creatures to Himself through the life, death, resurrection and future return of Jesus Christ. Our hope and desire is that the gospel would stand at the center of all that we do. It is what directs and defines us. It is our identity. Our goal is to provide people from all backgrounds, with special emphasis on the Indian community, a place to worship God with freedom while experiencing the life-changing power of the Holy Spirit. EKPC Toronto believes that fellowship among believers is essential to living a successful Christian life and we are committed to teach, disciple and challenge our members into developing a closer and deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. We would love to see you at one of our many services offered throughout the week. We know you will experience the move of the Holy Spirit as we worship through music, prayer and teaching from the Word. Everyone is welcome!
ABOUT US
What We Believe
Our Beliefs
The Baptism in the Holy Spirit - We, believers, are entitled to and shall earnestly seek the promise of the Father, the baptism in the Holy Spirit according to the command of our Lord Jesus Christ. This experience is distinct from and subsequent to the experience of the new birth, which is witnessed by the initial physical sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit of God gives utterance.
The Scriptures Inspired
The Bible consisting of the 66 Books, is the inspired Word of God, a revelation from God to man, the infalliable rule of the faith and conduct, and is superior to conscience and reason, but not contrary to reason. (Hebrews 4:12, 2 Peter 1:20-21, 2 Timothy 3:15-17)
The True God
The one true God has revealed Himself as the eternally self-existent, self-revealed I AM, and has further revealed Himself as embodying the principles of relationship and association of the Trinity as Father, Son and Holy Ghost. (Deuteronomy 6:4, 43:10-11, Matthew 28:19, Mark 12:29, Matthew 3: 16-17, John 14: 16-17)
Ordinances
The Ordinances of the Church are:A. Water Baptism : This ordinance shall be by immersion in the name of The Father, The Son and of The Holy Spirit. It shall be administered to all those who give clear evidence of their new birth.
B. Lord’s Supper: The Lord’s Supper shall be observed regularly in the Church. If a believer abstains from the Lord’s Supper, the pastor in consultation with the elders of the church should contact the person as soon as possible and ascertain the reason for such abstinence. The Pastor and the elders should take immediate steps in bringing reconciliation and the believer will be able to take part in the sacrament on the next available date. As the spiritual head of the congregation, the Pastor should take a leading role to ensure that all believers regularly take part in this sacrament.
The Blessed Hope –
We believe in the pre‐millennial return of Jesus Christ and in the resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in Christ and their translation together with those who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord.
Inerrancy of the Holy Scriptures –
Bible is our all‐sufficient rule for faith and practice. We believe that the Old and New Testament Scriptures are verbally inspired by God, inerrant and infallible in their original writings, and that they are the supreme and final authority for faith and practice.
